Chicago Blackhawks forward Jonathan Toews left Wednesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.
Quenneville said Toews has an UPPER-body injury. Not lower.

That certainly goes against what everyone was assuming based on replay of Toews falling down along the boards.

It was not immediately clear how Toews sustained the injury. It was reported by Chris Hine that Toews collided in the second period with Joe Pavelski but that does not appear to be the case after all.
Q said the Hawks are hopeful Toews' injury isn't serious. Chance he plays the rest of the trip.

The Blackhawks lost 2-1 to the Sharks on Wednesday night.
