NEW YORK — The Kontinental Hockey League says some of its games will be broadcast in the United States on ESPN3 during the NHL lockout.
The Russian-based league announced on its website Tuesday that it plans to air five games in the next week on ESPN’s the online streaming service.
I was just told by my KHL source that, having secured the US broadcast rights, the League is now working on a Canada TV deal.

However, ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said "the agreement is not finalized."
The KHL website indicated the first game shown will be between Dynamo Moscow and Ak Bars on Wednesday. Four other games were listed through Oct. 9.
