The Los Angeles Kings activated starting goalie Jonathan Quick off injured reserve, the team announced Thursday.
Quick made 30 saves in a losing effort in the Kings’ season opener against the Sharks on Oct. 5 but was placed on IR two days later after sustaining a lower-body injury at practice.
Jack Campbell started for the Kings while Quick was on the shelf, going 2-3-0 with a .922 save percentage and 2.69 goals-against average.
Quick is expected to get the start Thursday when the Kings host the Islanders.
In a corresponding move, the Kings assigned third-string netminder Peter Budaj to the Ontario Reign of the AHL.
