Maple Leafs prospect and Marlies top scorer Andreas Johnsson is all smiles after getting the call on an emergency basis to join the big club at practice.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled forward Andreas Johnsson from the AHL Marlies.

Johnsson is one of the team’s best forward prospects, having scored 26 goals and 54 points in 54 AHL games this season.

The 23-year-old was drafted in the seventh round in 2013, and will make his NHL debut on Wednesday against the Dallas Stars.

The Leafs also recalled Calle Rosen on an emergency basis.

Rosen started the season with the Leafs after joining the team as a free agent this past off-season.

The 24-year-old had one assist in four games with the Leafs before being sent to the Marlies where he has one goal and 17 points in 50 games.

Defenceman Nikita Zaitsev missed Saturday’s game against Pittsburgh with the flu.
