Lightning lose centres Johnson, Namestnikov, Paquette to injury

The Tampa Bay Lightning lost three centres to injury Thursday night against the Minnesota Wild.

Tyler Johnson, Vladislav Namestnikov and Cedric Paquette all left the game after suffering injuries in separate incidents.

Namestnikov’s injury occurred at 16:50 of the second period. Namestnikov got tangled up with the Wild’s Zach Parise and slid awkwardly into the boards.

This season, the 24-year-old Namestnikov has nine goals and 24 points.

Five minutes later, Johnson was hit by the Wild’s Nino Niederreiter and had to be helped off the ice.

Johnson has 19 goals and 43 points for the Lightning this season.

Paquette’s injury occurred in the third period after he got tied up with Niederreiter in from of the Minnesota net.
