The jersey features a special patch to honour the three years that the Lightning played at the ThunderDome — now known as Tropicana Field — the current home of the Rays. The stadium still holds the attendance record for an NHL playoff game when 28,183 people watched the Lightning take on the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Rays will wear Lightning themed jerseys in the second game of their opening series against the Boston Red Sox as a part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.
