Lights go out during third period of Leafs-Capitals outdoor game

Watch as the lights go out in the third period of the NHL Stadium Series game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals.

UPDATE: The game resumed after a 15 minute delay.

The power has gone out during the third period of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals Stadium Series game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

At the 10 minute mark of the third period, play was stopped so the teams could switch nets. During the stoppage, the lights went out in the stadium.

It’s unclear for now how long the game will be delayed. But while they wait, fans pulled out their phone flashlights to try and help light the stadium.
