Toronto Maple Leafs forward Trevor Moore has been activated off injured reserve ahead of Saturday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Moore has missed the past 15 games (which means he has yet to play for new head coach Sheldon Keefe) after sustaining a shoulder injury in the first period of a Nov. 15 game against the Boston Bruins. There was an expectation that he’d return Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres, but he took a hit in Monday’s practice that resulted in a setback.
In 21 games this year, Moore has two goals and five points.
Earlier on Saturday, the Maple Leafs loaned forward Adam Brooks and Martin Marincin to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies. Moore is expected to slot in on the Maple Leafs’ fourth line.
