Maple Leafs’ Bernier unveils new goalie mask

Chris Johnston talks about Jonathan Bernier's new two-year, $8.3 million contract with the Maple Leafs, and how it could benefit him when he becomes a UFA.

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Jonathan Bernier is set to enter training camp armed with a new $8.3-million contract and a fresh mask to boot.

The 27-year-old unveiled his new grill via Instagram… set to the music of Seinabo Sey.
@mapleleafs what do you guys think ? Thanks to @davidofdaveart for the great work!!

The mask, courtesy of David Gunnarsson, is rather simple in its design, but Bernier’s signature lion image remains on the top.

Bernier appeared in a career-high 58 games in 2014-15, finishing with a 21-28-7 record to go along with a 2.87 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.
