Maple Leafs’ Cody Ceci out ‘a while’ with ankle injury

Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas held a media availability to discuss the acquisitions of goalie Jack Campbell and forward Kyle Clifford, the injury statuses of Frederik Andersen and Cody Ceci, and whether he’s done with dealing before the deadline.

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Cody Ceci will be out “a while” with an ankle injury, general manager Kyle Dubas announced Thursday.

Ceci was injured in the third period of Wednesday’s loss to the New York Rangers and didn’t finish the game.

In his first season with the Leafs, Ceci has eight points in 54 games and a plus-eight rating with 20 penalty minutes.
