We might have an epidemic on our hands.
Toronto hockey fans, clearly not satisfied littering the ice with jerseys at NHL games, have taken the fad to AHL arenas. A Maple Leafs jersey hit the ice during the AHL Toronto Marlies game on Friday night… in Hamilton.
The Marlies fell to the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-0 Friday in Maple Leafs prospect William Nylander’s AHL debut.
Three fans were charged (charges were later dropped) and handed year-long bans from the Air Canada Centre earlier this week after tossing jerseys on the ice during the Maple Leafs’ 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday.
