The Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators will face off in Lucan, Ont., on Sept. 18 in preseason action as a part of Kraft Hockeyville 2018.

The Senators will play in their second consecutive Kraft Hockeyville, having played the New Jersey Devils in O’Leary, P.E.I., on Sept. 25, 2017, and the Maple Leafs will make their first appearance at the 12th annual competition.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have the Senators back and are excited to welcome the Maple Leafs who will be playing in a Kraft Hockeyville game for the first time,” said Joanna Milroy, Director of Portfolio Marketing at Kraft Heinz Canada. “This will be a Kraft Hockeyville matchup Canadians will not forget!”

As part of the initiative, the Lucan Community memorial Centre will receive $250,000 worth of upgrades, and Lucan will receive $10,000 in equipment through the National Hockey League Players’ Association’s Goals and Dreams program.

Over the course of the 11 NHL preseason games, Kraft Hockeyville has contributed more than $3.2 million across eight provinces.

Gary Bettman announced Lucan as the host city on March 31.
