Maple Leafs sign forward Tyler Gaudet to two-way contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed free agent forward Tyler Gaudet to a one-year, two-way contract. The contract will pay Gaudet $700,000 at the NHL level.

Gaudet, 26, appeared in 50 games with the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals last season, scoring eight goals and 25 points.

The Hamilton, Ont. native has skated in 20 NHL games with the Arizona Coyotes, where he scored one goal and four points.

Gaudet has experience with Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas and Toronto Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe, having played for both of them with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the OHL.
