Maple Leafs sign Teemu Kivihalme to two-year extension

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed defenceman Teemu Kivihalme to a two-year, two-way contract extension. The deal carries an average annual value of $725,000 at the NHL level.

Kivihalme recorded four goals and 14 assists with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies in 2019-20.

Prior to joining the Maple Leafs organization in 2019, the 25-year-old played a pair of seasons in Finland with Liiga’s Kärpät, skating in 104 regular season games and recording 50 points.
