Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Timothy Liljegren will make his NHL debut on Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Liljegren, 20, was the Maple Leafs first-round pick in 2017. The right-shot rearguard was called up from the AHL Toronto Marlies on Jan. 14 and has been recalled three separate times this season without appearing in a game.

Liljegren has 24 points in 33 AHL games this season.

The Maple Leafs will be rolling out seven defencemen and 11 forwards against the Blackhawks. Dmytro Timashov and Frederik Gauthier will be healthy scratches.
