Mike Brown joins Columbus on PTO

Canadiens Mike Brown scores a goal and an assist in the 4-3 victory over the Ducks on Tuesday.

Veteran winger Mike Brown has signed a professional tryout contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Brown finished last season with the Montreal Canadiens after being claimed off of waivers from the San Jose Sharks.

The 31-year-old has also spent time with Edmonton, Toronto, Anaheim, and Vancouver.

He has 19 goals and 17 assists in 407 career NHL games to go along with 778 penalty minutes.
