Los Angeles Kings forward Milan Lucic has been suspended one game for his punch on Arizona Coyotes defenceman Kevin Connauton.

Lucic was given a game misconduct after he hit an unsuspecting Connauton in front of the Coyotes net Saturday night. Connauton was not injured on the play.

He had a hearing with the league’s department of player safety on Sunday, and the suspension was announced hours later. Lucic will forfeit $32,258.06, which goes into the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.

The Los Angeles Kings play the San Jose Sharks Sunday night.
