NHL salary cap set at $79.5 million for 2018-19 season

The NHL salary cap will be $79.5 million with a salary floor of $58.8 million for the 2018-19 season the league announced on Thursday.

The $4.5 million increase is the largest jump since the 2013-14 season when the salary cap changed from $64.3 million to $69 million.
