The Pittsburgh Penguins added a veteran forward at the trade deadline on Wednesday, acquiring Marcel Goc from the Florida Panthers for a pair of draft picks.
Goc, 30, is in the final year of his contract that carries a salary cap hit of $1.7 million
The German forward has 11 goals, 12 assists with a minus-7 rating in 62 games with Florida this season. Entering Wednesday’s play, the Penguins lead the Metropolitan Division with 86 points in 61 games.
