Nylander brothers share tender post-game moment

William and Alexander Nylander faced each other as professionals for the first time on Thursday, with Alex’s Buffalo Sabres edging the Toronto Maple Leafs in a shootout.

They were each stopped in their respective attempts in the decider, but met up post-game for a chat.

You can see right away who has an extra couple years of pro experience, with the older Nylander looking the much spiffier of the two, wearing a suit while his brother had on shorts and a sweater.

Alexander, taken eighth overall in the 2016 NHL Draft will be hard-pressed to make the big club out of training camp, though he didn’t look out of place on Thursday, hitting the post on one of his shot attempts in regulation.

Regardless of whether the younger Swede plays in the NHL this year or not, there should be plenty of opportunities for the siblings to go head to head in the future.
