The Edmonton Oilers have announced their training camp roster for the 2020 return-to-play program.

Among the 33 players expected to attend is 2019 first rounder Philip Broberg along with Ryan McLeod, Olivier Rodrigue and Dylan Wells.

The Oilers are going with 10 defencemen after Mike Green made the decision to opt-out of the 2020 NHL’s return-to-play.

Broberg was a participant for the Oilers’ Phase 2 on-ice sessions and has not played a game in the NHL. Edmonton selected the 19-year-old defenceman eighth overall in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Edmonton will begin training camp on Monday, July 13 and it will run until July 26. The Oilers face the Chicago Blackhawks in a best-of-five play-in series starting Aug. 1.
