The six-foot-four, 213-pound defenceman has three goals, two assists and is minus-three in 25 games this season.

The Oilers have been struggling recently which makes the loss of Nurse that much harder deal with. In their last 10 games, they have gone 3-3-4.

If Nurse is out for 12 weeks, he could miss as many as 36 games. Without him in the lineup, they have gone 2-1-3.
