Hall, 22, is entering his fifth season with the team having amassed 225 points in 246 games. He led the team in points last year (80) and has finished in the top 10 in league scoring the past two years.
Eberle, 24, is also entering his fifth season. He has recorded 221 points in 275 games, and ranked second on the team in points (65) behind Hall last season.
The “A” isn’t new to Hall and Eberle. They were named alternate captains for the 2013-14 season, along with teammates Sam Gagner, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Nick Schultz and Ryan Smyth.
Last year EDM named 6 Alternate Captains. Many (read: we) thought that was dumb then. This year? Two A’s. Lessons learned.

Defenceman Andrew Ference will serve as the team’s captain for the 2014-15 season. He also captained the team last year.
The Edmonton Oilers play their first regular-season game at home against the Calgary Flames on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. (MT) on Sportsnet360.
