Edmonton Oilers defenceman Oscar Klefbom will be sidelined two to three weeks with a shoulder injury, the team announced Tuesday.
The 26-year-old is in the midst of a breakout campaign for the Oilers, having put up a career-best 0.56 points per game en route to 33 points in 59 games.
The six-foot-three, 216-pound rearguard is also averaging a career-high 25:36 minutes a game, well ahead of the second-highest mark on the team (22:51), belonging to fellow D-man Darnell Nurse.
Klefbom has recorded 155 points across 375 games during seven NHL seasons, all in Edmonton.
