The Edmonton Oilers have added another forward prospect to their cupboard in North America.
Anton Slepyshev, Edmonton’s third-round pick (88th overall) from the 2013 draft has signed a three-year entry-level deal, the team announced Wednesday.

The 21-year-old played 58 games with Ufa Salavat in the KHL last season, scoring 15 goals and 25 points. He was third on his team in goals and established career highs in each offensive category. He also recorded two assists in five playoff games.
A native of Penza, Russia, Slepyshev participated in the Spengler Cup last December and led his Ufa team with two goals and three assists.
The 6-foot-2, 187-pound Slepyshev has played four seasons in the KHL with Ufa and Novokuznetsk Metallurg. In all, he accumulated 29 goals and 49 points in 159 KHL games.
