The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Raphael Lavoie to a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced on Saturday.
Lavoie, 19, was selected in the second round, 38th overall, by the Oilers in the 2019 NHL Draft.
The Chambly, Que., native racked up 38 goals and 82 points with the Halifax Mooseheads and Chicoutimi Sagueneens in 52 regular-season games in the QMJHL this season. Lavoie joined Chicoutimi from Halifax in a Jan. 6 trade.
The six-foot-four, 196-pound forward also suited up for the gold-medal-winning Canadian team at the 2020 world juniors, recording two assists in seven games played.
