The Florida Panthers will be without defenceman Keith Yandle for the foreseeable future after he suffered a lower-body injury in the game against the Boston Bruins on Monday.
The 30-year-old only managed to log 4:51 of ice time before leaving in the first period.
Missing time due to injury is something of a rarity for Yandle. Monday night marked his 577th consecutive game played, which is the 10th most in NHL history.
In 26 games this season, Yandle has one goal and 11 assists and is the fifth highest scorer on the team — first among defencemen.
The Panthers are back in action on Tuesday as they visit the Philadelphia Flyers.
