Penguins acquire defenceman Blake Siebenaler from Blue Jackets

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired minor-league defender Blake Siebenaler from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a conditional 2019 draft pick, the club announced Monday.

The Athletic’s Aaron Portzline provided further information on the condition pertaining to said pick:

Siebenaler, originally drafted 77th overall by Columbus in 2014, is in the midst of his third season for the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters. The 22-year-old has yet to appear in an NHL game.

He has one goal and one assist through 17 games for Cleveland this season, after posting six points in each of his past two AHL campaigns.
