Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Matt Murray is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, but head coach Mike Sullivan says the injury is not a concussion.

It’s unclear when Murray suffered the injury but he was held out of Wednesday’s practice because of it. He made 28 saves in a 4-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Earlier this season, Murray missed three weeks with a lower-body injury but he’s been making regular starts since the middle of December. The 24-year-old also missed some time with a concussion in early October.

Murray has a 15-9-1 record this season with a 2.97 goals-against average and .909 save percentage.

Despite the injury, Sullivan said Murray will travel with the team on their upcoming three-game road trip, which begins Thursday against the Florida Panthers.

Evgeni Malkin (upper-body) and Justin Schultz (ankle) will also travel with the team. Malkin didn’t practise on Wednesday but Schultz did.
