The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Matt Cullen to a one-year contract, the club announced Thursday.
The deal is worth $800,000 and leaves the Penguins with $2,007,084 in cap space, according to GeneralFanager.com.
Cullen spent the last two seasons with the Nashville Predators. He totalled seven goals and 25 points in 62 games in 2014-15.
The 38-year-old was a member of the 2006 Carolina Hurricanes team that defeated the Edmonton Oilers for the Stanley Cup. He will be reunited with then Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford in Pittsburgh.
