Predators acquire Holzer from Ducks for Irwin, 2022 sixth-rounder

The Nashville Predators have acquired defenceman Korbinian Holzer from the Anaheim Ducks for fellow defender Matt Irwin and a 2022 sixth-round pick.

Holzer, 32, is averaging 16:14 of ice time in 46 games for the Ducks in 2019-20, recording a goal and four points. Drafted in the fourth round (111th overall) by Toronto in 2006, the Munich native has suited up in 203 career NHL games with the Ducks and Maple Leafs.

The 32-year-old Irwin has appeared in 27 games for the Predators this season and has played in 350 career NHL games with the San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins and Nashville.
