Predators re-up with Fisher on two-year deal

The Nashville Predators will not be allowing centre Mike Fisher to hit the market.

The club re-signed the 35-year-old to a two-year contract worth $8.8 million.

Fisher scored 19 goals and totalled 39 points in 59 games in 2014-15 after returning from an Achilles injury in late November.

Fisher will carry a cap hit of $4.4 million. He previously earned $4.2 million against the cap on a two-year deal.
