The New York Rangers have added a third goalie to their NHL roster by recalling Igor Shesterkin from the American Hockey League.

Shesterkin, 24, has a 15-4-3 record, along with 1.93 goals-against average, .932 save percentage and three shutouts this season for the Hartford Wolf Pack. His goals-against average leads the AHL while his save percentage is second in the league.

He joins Henrik Lundqvist and Alexandar Georgiev in the Rangers’ crease.

Shesterkin will make his NHL debut on Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche, the team went on to announce.

New York selected Shesterkin in the fourth round of the 2014 draft and he spent parts of six seasons playing in the Kontinental Hockey League.

The Rangers have a 19-18-4 record this season and are seven points back of the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
