NEW YORK — David Oliver and Greg Brown are joining the New York Rangers as assistant coaches.

The Rangers on Tuesday announced the additions to coach David Quinn’s staff.

Oliver spent the past 11 seasons with the Colorado Avalanche, most recently as director of player development. Oliver worked with Quinn in the AHL.

Brown has been an associate head coach at Boston College for the last six of his 14 seasons at the school. The Eagles won the NCAA title three times while he was there. Brown coached several current and former Rangers while at Boston College, including Chris Kreider and Kevin Hayes.
