Rangers sign goalie Alexander Georgiev to entry-level deal

The New York Rangers have signed free agent goaltender Alexander Georgiev to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Georgiev played the 2016-17 season with TPS of the Finnish Liiga, where he had a 1.70 goals-against average and .923 save percentage in 27 games.

The 21-year-old was a member of Russia’s silver-medal winning world junior team in 2016.
