Red Wings’ Robby Fabbri suffers upper-body injury vs. Bruins

Robby Fabbri would not return after getting caught between two Bruins players during a collision.

Detroit Red Wings winger Robby Fabbri suffered an upper-body injury and will not return to the team’s game against the Boston Bruins on Sunday.

The oft-injured forward left the game in the second period following a hit from Bruins forward Chris Wagner.

Fabbri has 27 points in 39 games with the Red Wings since coming over from the St. Louis Blues in an early season trade.

The 24-year-old first broke in with the Blues in 2015-16, putting up 37 points in a career-high 72 games.

Fabbri tore his ACL 51 games into the 2016-17 season and re-injured that same left knee the following training camp, forcing him to sit out all of 2017-18.
