Replay of the Day: What the box score, which spelled out a decisive 6-2 victory for the Florida Panthers over the slumping Boston Bruins, won’t show you is this: Panthers six-foot defenceman Brian Campbell lining up the Bruins 5’9” Little Ball of Hate* in open ice and executing.
Campbell’s textbook hip-check on the unsuspecting Brad Marchand sends the instigator flying as he attempts to cross the Panthers’ blue line.
This beauty check wasn’t the only highlight of Campbell’s night. The Florida quarterback set up his team’s first three goals, increasing his assist total to 43 and extending the Bruins’ losing streak to four games.
