Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane could be sidelined for about six to 10 weeks after exiting Tuesday’s game against the Florida Panthers with an upper-body injury, according to Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune.
Though he has yet to confirm it, Kuc also tweeted that Kane is likely out with a broken collarbone.
The 26-year-old left Tuesday’s game midway through the first period when he collided into the boards, helped by Panthers defenceman Alex Petrovic who gave him a small shove from behind.
So far this season, Kane has tallied 27 goals and 37 assists for 64 points.
