Unrestricted free agent forward Dainius Zubrus appears to be staying in New Jersey.

The 35-year-old Lithuanian has agreed to terms with the Devils on a three-year contract for approximately $3 million per season, The Record reports.

Zubrus, who has played in over 1000-NHL games, has spent the last six seasons with the organization and he reiterated his desire to remain with the Devils.

“As I said at the end of the year, my first choice is staying where I am. That hasn’t changed,” Zubrus told The Record’s Tom Gulitti. “I feel the same way. As of now, I’m still a Devil. My agent and Lou have talked. They’re still talking and, hopefully, this is going to get done.”
