Sabres sign Curtis Lazar to one-year contract

The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Curtis Lazar to a one-year, $700,000 contract.

The 24-year-old spent the 2018-19 season with the Calgary Flames organization, recording 20 goals and 41 points in 57 games for the AHL’s Stockton Heat. Lazar played in one contest for the Flames.

Drafted 17th overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2013, Lazar spent the first three seasons of his career in the nation’s capital before being dealt to the Flames in March 2017.
