The Buffalo Sabres have brought back forward Zemgus Girgensons on a one-year deal, the club announced Friday.
Girgensons’ new deal will pay him $1.6 million in 2019-20.
The 25-year-old posted 18 points through 72 games last season, his sixth campaign in Buffalo. Girgensons was originally drafted 14th overall by the Sabres back in 2012.
Through 420 career NHL games, the Riga, Latvia native has amassed 119 points.
