Sabres, Taylor Fedun agree to two-year, two-way deal

The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to a two-year, two-way extension to keep defenceman Taylor Fedun.

The 29-year-old played in 29 AHL games last season for the Rochester Americans, recording 23 points. The six-foot-one, 198-pound blueliner played 27 games for the Sabres throughout the 2016-17 campaign, recording all seven of his points through assists.

Fedun, an Edmonton, Alta., will enter his fifth NHL season this fall. He led all Sabres defencemen in 5-on-5 shot attempts percentage (53.7%) and assists per 60 (1.16).
