The Ottawa Senators have acquired the rights to Chris Wilkie from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forward Jack Rodewald, the team announced Saturday.

In three games for the NCAA’s Colorado College Tigers this season, Wilkie has scored three goals and added three assists.

The 23-year-old forward was Florida’s sixth-round pick, 162 overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Wilkie’s collegiate career began at the University of North Dakota, where he spent two seasons before transferring to Colorado College.

Last season, he recorded a career-high 19 points in 20 games.
