Senators’ Hammond picks up burger tossed on ice

The Hamburglar embraced his fans, showing the crowd a hamburger that was tossed on the ice after his perfect performance in the shootout in the Senators' win over Philadelphia.

Disgruntled Toronto Maple Leafs fans started an expensive trend of tossing jerseys onto the ice following losses this season, and Ottawa Senators have responded with a much more cost-effective move of their own.

A fan tossed a hamburger on the ice following the Senators’ 2-1 shootout win over the Philadelphia Flyers Sunday in honour of goaltender Andrew “The Hamburglar” Hammond. Hammond picked up the burger and held up for all to see as he skated off the ice.

Score one for Senators fans in the tossing items on the ice category in the Battle of Ontario.
