Senators send Dylan DeMelo to Jets for 2020 third-round pick

The Ottawa Senators have acquired a 2020 third-round draft pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for defenceman Dylan DeMelo, the team announced Tuesday.

The 26-year-old has 10 points in 49 games this season, his second in Ottawa.

DeMelo was acquired from the San Jose Sharks as part of the Erik Karlsson trade prior to the 2018-19 campaign.

The 2011 sixth-round pick has recorded 64 points across 259 career games.
