Ottawa Senators defenceman Marc Methot left Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Wild and will not return after suffering a lower-body injury.

Methot has been a reliable partner on the blue line for superstar Erik Karlsson since coming over in the trade from Columbus in the 2012 off-season.

The 31-year-old has two assists this season.
