The San Jose Sharks have announced that forward Tomas Hertl has a right knee sprain.
He suffered the injury in a Nov. 17 game in St. Louis and is expected to miss weeks.
“Hertl will undergo a minor procedure tomorrow under the direction of the Kaiser Permanente medical team. Following the procedure, Hertl will proceed with his rehabilitation schedule in San Jose.” said Sharks general manager Doug Wilson. “No timetable has been set for his return to game action.”
The 23-year-old has four goals and five assists in 17 games this season.
