The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced a roster of 26 players who will represent the team at a three-day prospects tournament that will run from Sept. 8-10 at Ricoh Coliseum.
Headlining the group for the Leafs is 2017 first-rounder (17th overall) Timothy Liljegren, a highly touted two-way defenceman from Sweden. At the start of last season, Liljegren was ranked as high as No. 2 in pre-season NHL draft rankings, but fell down to a mid-round pick in June after a season slowed by injury.
