COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Nashville Predators general manager David Poile will fill the same position for the 2014 U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team.

USA Hockey announced the selection Friday. Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Ray Shero will serve as associate general manager and former Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke will be director of player personnel.

They were to be formally introduced at a Saturday news conference, when USA Hockey announces its head coach for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.

Poile was an associate general manager for the 2010 U.S. team that won a silver medal.
