The Vancouver Canucks have announced their roster that will compete this weekend at the Young Stars tournament in Penticton, B.C.
Brock Boeser, who signed with the Canucks late last season, is one of the forwards to watch out for. Vancouver drafted the right-winger 23rd overall in the 2015 NHL Draft and he scored four goals and one assist in nine games for the Canucks.
Olli Juolevi highlights some of the defencemen that will be in action. The Finn was drafted fifth overall in the 2016 NHL Draft and had a solid season for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League in 2016-17.
Vancouver will have a couple of solid options in net with both Thatcher Demko and Michael DiPietro making appearances. Demko spent last season with the Canucks’ AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets, while DiPietro was a standout for the Windsor Spitfires in their Memorial Cup winning run in May.
